Memorial Day 2022

Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery has announced that they will be hosting their annual Memorial Day service with cookout immediately following.   The annual live service honoring local and national heroes is to take place in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens’ Field of Honor at 9:30am on Monday, May 30th. The ceremony will include military aircraft fly over, participation from the Guns N Hoses Pipes and Drum Corps of SW FL, Harney Point VFW Post 8463 of Cape Coral, with the keynote addresses delivered by the Congressman Byron Donalds, Representative of Southwest Florida District 19 and U.S. Army Infantry Officer and Vietnam War Veteran, Dennis Battles, who served as a Rifle Platoon Leader in Vietnam and then later, commanded a Rifle Company while serving with the Berlin Brigade, Berlin, Germany. Members of the Collier-Lee Honor Flight, Wreaths Across America, and Mission United – a United Way Program to Serve Those Who Have Served will also participate.   Beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 28th, community members will have the opportunity to place flags on each of the graves of the many veterans resting in the cemetery. Interested participants should arrive at the location’s Colonial Family Center at that time to await further instructions.   This is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together to acknowledge our local and national heroes and honor the sacred resting places of our veteran community. Together, we will recognize and reflect on the sacrifices made by so many to ensure our freedom.

What Families Are Saying

Real Stories from Real People

Arrangements were preplanned and prepaid. Funeral home did a great job in honoring my loved one's wishes. Did not try to up sale services and that was very much appreciated during a very emotional time. Everyone was compassionate and went above and beyond to assist. Thank you, great job!!

The entire team at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens handled my fathers unexpected passing with the utmost compassion and professionalism. They were there for our family and continue to be during this uncertain time in our country. The Fabbri family would like to thank Daniel, Tim, Samantha and the rest of the employees at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.

Thomas F. 5 stars

Errin Epstein was wonderful in helping us make our final plans. He was able to answer all our questions, and was so patient in explaining all the possible choices. He treated us with the utmost respect and made it a positive experience. We left knowing our decisions would be respected and carried out smoothly.
