Judith Tritel (7/1/1944-10/10/2017)

Grievously, we announce the passing of Mrs. Tritel who succumbed to a long battle of multiple medical issues dying peacefully at Joanne’s House of Bonita Springs at 6 PM.  She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA but has lived in Fort Myers since 1973.  She spent many summers in Clayton, NY which she was incredibly passionate about.  She was a psychotherapist having a master’s degree in the field of Rehabilitation counseling getting her degree while raising 3 boys.  She had resounding patient to help and love all of the people in her life and did so in a non-judgmental manner that we could all emulate.  She donated innumerable hours of her time to multiple causes.  She had a multitude of passions including nature, photography, films, biking, yoga/meditation, her Kitties, bird lover, music, and books, just to mention a few.  She is survived by almost too many people to count but including amazing husband of over 22 years, Don Asselin, who gave selflessly to her to the very end.  3 sons from her first marriage and spouses, Moshe-Beryl, Paul-Lisa, Richard-Tina, with their 8 grand-kids and 2 dogs who all loved her very much.  She was incredibly close to all of Don’s family and raised Major directly as her own son.  4 sons-Donnie-Susan, Mike-Toby, Steve-Amy, and Major-Jen.  1 Daughter Katherine-Robert with 12 grandkids, and great-grand son, Zion.  She was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.   If there is anyone who wants to donate money in her name, Judy Tritel frequently donated to PBS, Audubon Society, and the Salvation Army.

    Marc, Paul, and Rich, My heart is broken for you and your families. I loved your Mom so much and feel you three are a part of me as you were growing up and moving on in your lives. She has left a wonderful legacy for you and your families.
    Don, thank you for being there for her all those years and caring for her, and loving her.
