Mary Alene Rinkel Waldron

Mary Alene Rinkel Waldron, of North Fort Myers, Florida went to be with her Lord March 6, 2018. Marywas born in Fort Myers, Florida in 1925; the youngest daughter of George & Esther Rinkel. Mary was a Registered Nurse, receiving her training during WWII at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. After her children were all in school, she returned to the workforce as a supervising nurse for the Lee County School System. After retiring, she and Cecil spent many a happy day touring in their motor home, frequently with Bettye & Andy Chandler as their steadfast companions.
She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Cecil, her sister Bettye Chandler and brothers-in-law Andy Chandler & Girard Kinzie. She is survived by her sister Eleanor Kinzie, her brother,-in-law, Edmund Waldron, her son George E Waldron, daughters Pati (Mike) Sempsrott, Becky (Pete) Frazee & Esther Waldron. Grandchildren Kate (Charles) Summerall, Andrew Sempsrott, Sean (Shannon Duffy) Frazee & Ben Frazee. Great Grandchildren Lana & Keira Summerall & Sean Thomas Frazee and many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of PCU at Cape Coral Hospital and especially to the wonderful caregivers at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral for the loving, tender care Mary was given at the end of her life. The preservation of her dignity and the tremendous compassion she was shown are greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at The First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second Street, Fort Myers. Visitation will be held preceding the service from 1:30 – 2:00 at the church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
