Wayne Ellis Klepinger

Wayne Ellis Klepinger, 93, of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of Bunker Hill, IN passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born March 24, 1924 in Peru, IN to Percy L. and Maude A. (Hopkins) Klepinger. He retired as a school teacher from Northwestern High School, Kokomo, IN after 36 years. He enjoyed writing and reciting poetry. He was a volunteer fireman for 40 years and taught Sunday School, was superintendent and choir director at Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren. He also held an Experimental Air Craft Pilots license. He was an avid fisherman, volunteer of disaster relief efforts across the country and Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Klepinger leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Shirley (Richardson) Klepinger; his children: Brenda (Gariess) Campbell, Barb Stephens (Cary); his grandchildren: Lantis Gareiss (Laurie), Lathan Gareiss (Melissa), Layna Buckley (Jordan), Aaron Stephens (Marysa) and Amber Wright (CJ); his great grandchildren: Brooke, Mackenzie, Lathan Jr., Preston, Zoey, Mason, Makayla, Myles, Madison, Emma, AJ and Kaylyn. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Carol Replogle of Delphi, IN. He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Klepinger, his parents, his twin brother, Weldon Klepinger and two sisters, Norma Amos and Mary Ellen Flora.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Grace International Ministries located at 3507 Lee Blvd Suite 103, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and services start at 6:30 PM
