Jerry Lee Dunning

December 30, 1939 - January 25, 2022

Jerry Lee Dunning of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 while receiving care at Cape Coral Hospital following some recent health challenges. He was 82 years old. Jerry was born on December 30, 1939 in Chaffee, Missouri, the proud son to Meva (Shelton) and Benjamin E. Dunning. He spent his working years in the construction industry where he specialized as a roofing contractor. He was the loving husband to and leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years Joyce (Southard) Dunning. Jerry was a well-respected and much-loved person who will greatly missed by everybody who knew him. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Joyce, his son Dominick, daughter Kim and Barr Quinn, Grandchildren: Lauren, Allison, Savannah, Kristan and CJ. Great Grandchildren: Kaiden, Wyatt and Cooper. Goins at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home a half-hour in advance of this ceremony beginning at 11:30 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, friends and family will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Jerry will be laid to rest at the Mausoleum located in the Garden of Serenity.
