Marguerite Lemmerman (Quill) Bosman, went to God, Sept. 4, 2021. Born at home in Canton MA on Jan. 14, 1932, to James C. and Dorothy M. (Abbott) Quill, the fifth of seven children. Raised in South Boston, graduate of Gate of Heaven High School, Vice President of Class of 1949; worked at Shawmut Bank. Entered the Religious Order of Sisters of St. Joseph in Framingham MA in 1950 with name of Sr. Dorothy Marie. Earned BA degree while in the convent. Taught first grade in five Boston area parish schools. With illness of parents, departed religious life in 1975, moved to Fort Myers FL. Received MA degree and became reading clinician at Fort Myers Middle School for 25 years. Known to many prominent Fort Myers residents who were first taught by her. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church and a cuddler for premature babies at Fort Myers Memorial Hospital. Marguerite played guitar and had a lovely voice, entertaining joyfully at church, school, family and social affairs; she enjoyed travel, especially to Newfoundland where she did some family genealogical research, and reveled with relatives and friends on trips to Ireland, Italy and Israel. One of her favorite annual traditions was to gain tickets to Red Sox spring training games for several dozen friends and relatives and at postgame catered parties at her lovely lakeside home with songfests and great merriment. Married to the late Willard Lemmerman of Fort Myers for 17 years. She and Bill were active members and golfers at Myerlee Country Club where they joined friends at multiple parties and functions at the popular country club’s bar and grill. She is survived by her stepson Willard Michael Lemmerman and his wife Pamela and their sons Michael and Thomas of Fort Myers. Years after Bill’s demise, Marguerite married the late Claire Bosman of Fort Myers and is survived by his son Blair Bosman of Bunnell FL and two daughters, Barbara Winesett of Lakesite TN and Bonnie Hailey of Lebanon OH. Surviving her are her sisters, Eleanor M. Lennox of Englewood FL and Virginia Q. Smith of Bradenton FL, and her brothers, Edward W. Quill of Pembroke MA and Kenneth J. Quill of Naples FL. Two siblings predeceased her: Dorothy Morrison of Canton MA and James J. Quill of Falmouth MA. She leaves several loving cousins, nieces and nephews, who mourn her passing. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, September 13, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, followed by interment in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A reception will be held in Marian Hall of St. Cecilia’s following burial services.
