To my dear sweet husband Gene, love of my life and my soulmate….I have 30 years of the most wonderful memories of our life together and they keep playing over and over in my head.You were truly the best husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend anyone could possibly ask for. You were a perfect gentleman and would always go out of your way to help someone in need. The devotion you gave to me and our children and grandchildren is immeasurable. I love absolutely everything about you!! Your gorgeous smile, laugh and sense of humor will be missed constantly. I know you are no longer suffering and in pain and you are now with our Heavenly Father, and I do find comfort in that but I miss you so much my heart hurts!!! I'm still not sure how to do this without you but I know you will always be beside me to help me along the way. I know you will watch over us and protect us just as you always have. Dave, Ann and I had drifted apart after going our separate ways as we grew up. It was nice to get to reunite with Dave and his family in Ft Myers. We enjoyed getting together for our shrimp boils at Mikes and getting to know all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.Barbara Dwyer

Gene will truly be missed. He was a good man. Love his smile. He always made me laugh with his jokes he would tell. He made the best homemade ice cream. Loved his family very much. All who knew him was blessed. RIP Gene
I remember back in high school. He was one of the few that were a true blue friend. He always had my back and always had a kind word to make me smile. The last 3 yyears while I was fighting also, Gene and Leslie were a huge part of my support system with constant reassurance that I could do it, to keep fighting. All these years He has been nothing but a true friend and nothing less. I will miss you very much!
