I went to elementary school and middle school with Ivan. He was a few years older but we had the same bus pick us up in the morning. I remember his sister too. There was no Facebook in our days and I am just learning about his sudden death. May he RIP, I never forgot him and probably have his yearbook dedications. To his family, my most sincere condolences.

I am so sadden to learn about the death of Ivan today. I haven't been able to stop crying since I received word this morning. He was such a wonderful friend and such a beautiful person. Even though I can't be there, since I've been very ill this past year (6 hospital stays since last May or I would be on a plane right now), please know that I'm sending all my love, prayers and wishes to his family, friends and co-workers from up here in Elgin, Illinois. He truly was an angel here on earth! I miss him so much!!! I miss all my friends and co-workers at USCIS. I'm sending all my love and prayers to his wife, son, and family during this very, very, sad time. Ivan, you will be truly missed, and if I could have taken your place, I surely would have.
