Mr. Wesley Scott was a dear sweet man and his love showed through his faith and the love he had for his family. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to know Mr. Scott and his family through my Grandparents, Roswell and Francis King, they lived just a few houses down on Polk Street many many years ago. They thought the world of Mr. Scott and always said "he is a good man", and that he was. Our prayers go out to Ms. Bertie , , their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and son-n-laws. He will be truly missed, he is home with the Lord. .

Wesley was a dear, dear friend for almost 70 years. I have often said that he started working when he was still in diapers for almost as long as I knew him he had a job. Equally as long ago, he fell in love with i my beloved Bertie. What a joy it was to play the organ for their wedding! So often, Bertie and Wes would have me and later, my husband and me for shrimp that he had caught. Fishing and seafood was in his blood. A big part of my past and lovely memories surround this wonderful couple. The memories will live as long as I do. My deepest love and sympathy to Bertie, the children, the grandchildren and Wes's sisters, Clarice and Betty. Your life meant something very special to this world. You left it a better place than when you found it.Jan Harvey

Wesley Scott, A true Southern Gentleman who loved his family, friends and God. He inspired many with his hard work, soft spoken words, warm smile, honesty and faith. Thank you for being a part of my life. God must have needed a good man the day he extended his hand and took you home. Enjoy your celebration in heaven, know a crowd was there to greet you, including many of my family members since passed.
