Ada Mary Wallington, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2011.?á She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on January 11, 1924 to Finlay and Ada Anderson.?á Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Wallington, brothers, Robert, David and Kenneth and sister, Ellen.?á She is survived by her brother, Donald Anderson of Hamilton, Ontario; her daughter, Nancy (Nick) Shippas of Fort Myers; son, Stanley (Jennifer) Wallington of Parksville, British Columbia; granddaughter, Nicole (Michael) Monahan of Cape Coral and grandsons, Christopher (Rachel) Shippas of Poughkeepsie, NY and Stacy, Sean and David Wallington of British Columbia.?á She is survived by eleven great grandchildren. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Ada and Stan owned and operated Camp Tata Chika Pika in Gogama, Ontario from 1965 until Stan?ÇÖs death in 1979 at which time Ada and her family moved to Fort Myers and purchased the Ta Ki Ki Riverfront Inn.?á Ada?ÇÖs life revolved around her family and the time spent with them.?á She spent her final years at the Calusa Harbour Retirement Home in Fort Myers where she enjoyed listening to music and telling stories of her pet black bears. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2001 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Lee County, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.?á Online condolences may be made at: www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
