Adeline R. Bauman's Obituary
Adeline R. Bauman, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and trusted friend died of natural causes on January 19, 2012 in Fort Myers, Florida, where she was a resident of Shell Point Community. She was 90 years old. Adeline was born in Lancaster, NY on March 25, 1921. She graduated from Lancaster High School and Bryant and Stratton Business School and worked as a secretary at the Curtis Wright Corporation. In 1943 she married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Bauman. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in December 2011. They were blessed with three sons, Andrew Bauman and his wife Julie of Ft. Myers, FL, Philip Bauman and his wife Beth of Medfield, MA, and Stephen Bauman and his wife Melissa of New York, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Seth Bauman, Jillian (Bauman) Barrows, Michelle Bauman, Rachael Bauman, Luke Bauman, and Stephanie Bauman. Her sister, Elouise Roepken, preceded her in death. She was an active member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, the Contemporary Women?ÇÖs Club of Ft. Myers, and loved traveling, socializing with friends, and playing bridge. Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 3825 McGregor Boulevard, Ft. Myers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Presbyterian Church.
