Aida Iris Charlotten's Obituary
Aida Iris Charlotten, 81, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 15, 1944, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Aida was the daughter of the late José Antonio Charlotten and Elvira Ortiz. She was raised in Ponce and later lived in Brooklyn, New York, before relocating to Fort Myers, where she had been a resident for the past 27 years.
Aida was a devoted woman of faith who deeply loved reading the Bible. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially playing Scrabble and putting together puzzles—activities she enjoyed sharing with family. Her warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those closest to her will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving children: Ivelisse (Jim) Hamilton, Heriberto (Marisol) Sierra, Sammy (Barbara) Sierra, and Melissa Roque; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Aida was preceded in death by her beloved son, Raymond Sierra, and her great-grandson, Anthony Medina.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
Aida’s legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
