Al Brandenburg was a fine man. I knew Al professionally for many years. He was ethical and professional at all times. But what is more, he was always kind. I was very sad to hear of his passing and extend my heartfelt sympathy to his dear wife, his family and to his co-workers. He will be sorely missed.
Al was the biggest and grandest Cubs fan I knew. From my earliest childhood memories I can still hear Al and Roger bragging on their Cubbies, promising THIS was the year they would win the World Series. So proud he lived to see that glorious night!
