Albert M. DeGenova's Obituary
Albert M. DeGenova, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born August 23, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the son of Alphonse and Viola (Orlando) DeGenova.He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Mosaic Christian Church, enjoyed golfing and captained his bridge boat for many years, visiting ports in Miami, Key West, St. Pete and many others. He retired as owner and operator of Unique Indoor Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning Company after over 40 years.Mr. DeGenova is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Geri DeGenova; his children: Greg DeGenova (Diane) of Downers Grove, IL, Scott (Jennifer) DeGenova of Crystal Lake, IL and Michelle Beale of Cape Coral; his grandchildren: Gabrielle, Nick, Ariana and Karl and his great grandchildren: Ian and Zoey. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, May 4, 2018 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites conducted by the United States Air Force. Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
