I hope a member of Al Jrs. family receives this email. I worked at Albert's thru HS and Mich State Un.(8 years). Because of Al, his father and Mother (Mary) I was able to earn enough money to pay my tuition, etc. What a great family. I am so thankful that they gave me an opportunity to make something of my life. Al Jr. was a good friend and nice man to work for. His children and grandchildren will do well to follow his standards. I regret the delay to learning about the lost of Al Jr. Gil Kleinknecht

Perhaps the nicest man I have ever met. Al's kindness and generosity was felt by everyone he met. His good cheer, gentle smile and the little glass that held his wine will live on in my memory forever. Arrivederci, Ci vedremo in paradiso.
