Alberta Murphy Brown's Obituary
Alberta Murphy Brown, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013. She was born March 21, 1926 in Arcadia, FL to Arthur and Eliza Jane Boatright and moved to Fort Myers in 1950. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She loved gardening, fishing, shopping and camping. Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Beth Emanuel (Salvatore) and Gene Murphy (Marie), both of North Fort Myers and David Murphy (Lisa) of Longview, TX; her step -daughters, Valerie Kelly (Pat), Beth Solomon (Ralph), and Georgia Daly (Ron); her grandchildren: Bernie (Linda), Steve, Cindi, Arthur (Beth), Kim (Kenny), Carl (Julie) and Marsha (Jay); twenty great grandchildren and her sister, Mary Harley of Bradenton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bailey Murphy in 1991 and her late husband, George S. Brown in 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from noon until the time of the service.
