Alex Andrew Marchwinski's Obituary
Alex Andrew Marchwinski, 87, of?á North?á Fort Myers, Florida passed away at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral on November 8, 2012. Alex was born May 7, 1925 in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Alex and Frances Grott?á Marchwinski. He retired in 1981 from the Warren, MI Police Dept. as a Senior Inspector after 31 years of service. Alex was a veteran of WW2 serving with the Coast Guard from 1943-1946. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in North Ft. Myers and the Knights of Columbus, the Fraternal Order of Police and he was an avid golfer. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 66 years, Filippa Marchwinski of N. Ft. Myers; his daughter, Sandra (Michael) Thomas and his sons, Carl, Kurt (Margaret), Michael (Lynne), Alex Jr. (Mary Ann), Chris and Thomas; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Edward (Annie) and Patricia (Donald) Brooks all of Michigan. A Memorial Mass will be held?á Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers, FL. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
