Alexander Di Giacomo's Obituary
Alexander Di Giacomo of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at Cape Coral Hospital with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 following some recent health challenges. He was 83 years old.
Alex was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 16, 1937, the proud son to Mary (D'Amato) and Alexander Di Giacomo. He spent his life on the road, earning a good living as a truck driver and also when he relaxed by riding his motorcycle. He loved everything related to the Harley-Davidson brand of cycles and, above all else, loved being a father to his two daughters Denise and Gina. He will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Alex will be celebrated by Father Thomas A. Heck at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for Visitation for two hours prior to this ceremony beginning at 12:00 Noon also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, guests will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Alex will be laid to rest inside the Mausoleum located at the Garden of Peace.
Please be advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, visitors to the funeral home are requested to follow appropriate social distancing guidelines, including the requirement that all guests submit to temperature screening and wear a mask while inside the building.
