Betsy, I am so sorry for your loss, I know how much you loved your dad! You will miss him everyday but he will always be in your memories and in your heart. He has gone to a better place and is no longer in pain. My heart goes out to you and your family. Just remember the good times that you had. If there is anything I can do please let us know.
Dear Alice, Betsy and Family, Dan and I have shared many happy times with Al – from parties at his home in Chelmsford, trips to Newport to watch tennis at the Casino and visiting Al at his home in Tiverton. Al was always famous for his debonair clothes and dock shoes with no socks and of course his pipe. He was classic old Newport and knew all the stories of the rich and famous that lived there. He would tell us these stories as we walked with him and Alice along the Cliff Walk. We will remember and cherish these times always. It was Al's time to pass and he did it peacefully as he lived. My deepest sympathy to all who knew "Uncle". We had many good debates and lots of fun during all my life highlighted by our week long trip together traveling down the Baja Peninsula where Uncle had a memorable time.We will all miss him.

Dear Alice, Betsy, Dana and family I am thinking of you all and remembering happy times living in the cottage in Tiverton beside Alfie and Alice. Those years were some of the happiest of my life. I can still see Al sitting on the porch smoking his pipe. I also remember all the dinners he made for us. I will remember him always.

Alice, Betsy, Dana and family, We are so sorry to hear about Al. We have so many fond memories of your house in Tiverton. The kids always loved coming to your house, where Al would be on the porch, smoking his cigar and watching TV, and Alice would be dancing in the kitchen to the Beach Boys with the kids. Alice, Betsy and Family, There are no words to make you feel better right now, but always remember that your family in Rhode Island are thinking of you at this difficult time and thinking of all the good memories we had with Al. We will always remember your visits to Eleanor and Philip's house and going to the beach at Westport Harbor. I remember how Al and Alice loved going to the stone steps at Westport Harbor and laying down on the sand near them to get a nice tan. Betsy, I will call you soon.
