Alice May Pomeroy's Obituary
Alice May Pomeroy, 93, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Hope Hospice. She was born September 20, 1920 in Fort Myers, FL to Bessie (Gibson) Carter and Jessee Carter. Alice was the grand-daughter of George W. Carter who homesteaded what is now South Seas Plantation. She spent her years at St. James City on Pine Island until her marriage to Britt Pomeroy, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Britt Pomeroy, Sr. and a son, Francis Jessie Pomeroy. Alice is survived by her son, Britt Pomeroy, Jr. (Martha); grandson Britt (Tres) Pomeroy, III; granddaughter, Cindy Greenwood; granddaughter, Alisa Lauramore (Robert); great granddaughter Casee Greenwood; great granddaughter, Jesse Lauramore; great grandson, Tyler Pomeroy and great, great grandson, Sky Pomeroy. Funeral services will be 4pm Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
