Alice Roberta Sanders' Obituary
Alice Roberta Sanders, 82, of Fort Myers, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hospice House in Fort Myers. She was born June 9, 1932 in Johnstown, PA and moved to Fort Myers from Delmont, PA in 1980. For the past three years, Mrs. Sanders resided at Page Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center where she spent some of the happiest days of her life because of the wonderful care that their staff provided. She loved playing Bingo at the nursing home and was lovingly referred to as the “Hall Monitor.” Following dinner time, she and other residents would gather outside her room and sing church hymns. Over the last several years, Hope Hospice gave her wonderful care. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers. Mrs. Sanders is survived by her children: Scott Sanders of Cape Coral, Marcy Sanders of Fort Myers and Mark Sanders of Clearwater and her grandchildren: Rene, Brad, Zachary and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Sanders in 2002. Private memorial services were held at Page Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
