When I was in high school, Aline was offering a training for people who were interested in learning about the Montessori method. I left school in the afternoons and took that training. After graduation in June , Aline asked me if I wanted to be an assistant and I was hired in August of 1975. I started working there and got a degree from London Montessori and then later a degree from CMTE. I worked at Penn-Mont for 45 yrs. She was a mentor and I loved when she would come to school and ask for advice on her books. She even gave me credit for the format of her series on peace. She was caring, loving , kind and intelligent woman. She was a woman who wanted children to be peaceful. She was a fabulous author. Jerry and Aline were the founders of Penn-Mont. Her legacy will live on. Rest in peace Aline.
We are very sad to hear of the passing of this incredibly special, spiritual, intelligent, talented, sensitive, insightful Montessori guide and mentor. As long time Montessori teachers, we benefited and learned from Aline Wolf's memorable speaking engagements, her books, her booklet and parent guide to the Montessori classroom that served for decades as an invaluable teaching tool that we shared with administrators, teachers, assistants and parents. The children we taught loved to look at, match and discuss the rich art history materials and lessons she designed and presented to us with joy. Throughout her life, she offered so many wise, useful and timeless gifts to Montessori teachers and children wherever she went and wherever her work was shared. She was filled with grace and her passing is a deep loss to our national Montessori community. We offer unending thanks to her for her generous life, and we share our sincere condolences to her entire family. She will always be remembered.
