I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Gehrke's passing. Having been neighbors for so very many years, I do have many memories of him. I remember the time he hung a deer in our garage to keep it cold….I walked way, way around so as not be anywhere near it! I also remember all our visits to Sherry Lake and learning to water ski behind the boat. I hope your own happy memories are helping you all through this difficult time. We first met Al in 2005 when we bought the house next door. Al was a bigger than life person, very generous with his time and good advice. He was always ready to help someone (especially us neophyte navigators) and there when you needed him. He was an extraordinarily intelligent man, very fun loving with a great sense of humor. There are too many momentous moments to list, but time spent with Bobbie and Al were always memorable. We loved him deeply and will miss him greatly.Carol & Jay Robinson
