Alleta Nockengost's Obituary
Alleta Nockengost of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at Lee Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 16, 2022 following some recent health challenges. She was 70 years old.
Alleta was born in Bristol, Virginia on May 5, 1951. She was the prototypical American entrepreneur as she developed, operated, managed and owned a number of small business ventures throughout her working years. She was the loving wife to William R. Nockengost Sr. and she followed him to many different duty stations over the years of service he provided during a career in the Army. She was also a proud and loving mother who will be greatly missed by her husband, children, extended family members and friends alike whom she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory.
A Funeral Service for Alleta will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends are welcome to gather a half-hour in advance of this ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Alleta will be laid to rest inside the Field of Honor.
