Alton FitzRobert Morgan's Obituary
Alton FitzRobert Morgan, 92, passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, May,19, 2026 at Fort Myers Nursing Center.
Alton FitzRobert Morgan was born on March 14, 1934, in Manchester,
Jamaica, West Indies, to Stephen and Jane Morgan. After spending his early
years in Jamaica, he later migrated to the United States, where he
established a life marked by dedication, faith, and hard work in Nyack, NY.
Alton worked at the Louis Hornick Company, where his strong work ethic
and leadership abilities quickly earned him the position of supervisor.
Beyond his professional life, he was deeply committed to his faith and was
a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. There, he served
faithfully as a Deacon, a member of the finance committee, and as Deputy
Director of the Pathfinders Club, touching many lives through his service.
Alton enjoyed life to the fullest and found joy in simple pleasures. He was
an avid domino player who loved fishing, tending to his vegetable garden,
and sharing laughter through playful jokes. He will be remembered for his
warm spirit, sense of humor, and the love he shared with family and friends.
Above all, Alton was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Violet Autrey and Daphne Morgan-Smith, his
brothers, Cecil Morgan and Ronald Briggs.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Millicent Morgan, with whom he shared
43 years of marriage. He is also survived by his two sisters, Norma Meikle
and Una Morgan; and four brothers, Lester, Basil, Kesert, and Kenrick
Morgan.
Alton’s legacy continues through his children: Suzette Connor, Sandra
Morgan, Christopher Morgan, and Keisha Morgan; as well as stepdaughters,
Kim Skinner, Shawna Baker; stepson Winston McFarlane, and spouse,
Vonda McFarlane, and daughter Tiara McFarlane. He is also survived by his
son-in-law, Troy Connor and daughter Morgan Connor, and three
cherished granddaughters
