Alvah?á H. Searight, 84, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011.?á Al?á was originally from Columbus, Ohio, where he attended The Ohio State University and was a huge Buckeye fan.?á He was on the OSU diving team and was a volunteer high school diving coach for many years.?á?á Al and his wife Shirley moved to Ft. Myers in 1982 after he retired as a sales manager from Kaiser Aluminum.?á He was a member of the Eastwood Golf Club for 28 years and was very proud of accomplishing the rare feat of “shooting his age” at Eastwood at age 77.Mr. Searight?á will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley, his two sons Charles and Bruce, their wives Lois and Susan, his sister Doris Yankovich, and 6 beautiful grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Al at the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church in Fort Myers?á on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 2:00pm.
