Alvera (Allie)?áFunderburk, a native of Collinsville, IL and a resident of Fort Myers since 1952, died May 16, 2012.?á Allie?ÇÖs faith was a major part of her life and she was a longtime member of the Church Of The Resurrection Of Our Lord.?á She and her husband were dedicated baseball fans. They were loyal supporters of the Royals and had close friends with the team.?á Allie was a special person whose presence would light up a room.?á She loved entertaining her friends with her piano playing talents and she leaves happy memories for many.?á She will be greatly missed.?á Alvera was preceded in death by Edward, her husband of 67 years.?á She is survived by her nephew, Michael Lombardi of Alton, IL.?á Funeral services will be held at the Church Of The Resurrection Of Our Lord in Fort Myers on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:30 AM.?á In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer?ÇÖs Resource Center or the Church Of The Resurrection Of Our Lord. The family is being assisted by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
