Ana Maria Gonzalez (Rivera)'s Obituary
Ana Maria Gonzalez (Rivera) of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Gulf Coast Medical Center.
She leaves behind her loving husband of sixty years, David Gonzalez and her children David Gonzalez Jr., Daniel Gonzalez (Donna), Edward Gonzalez (Lisa) from the state of Rhode Island,and Daviana Gonzalez of Fort Myers. She was a loving and caring grandmother to her six grandchildren, Jace D'Ambra, Brian Gonzalez, Brandon Gonzalez, Daniel Reis III, Giovanni Gonzalez and Lisana Reis and her great granddaughters Sofia and Savannah.
Born in Corazal, Puerto Rico to Aurelio Rivera and Victoria Vazquez, Ana was predeceased by her siblings Pedro Rivera, Guillermina Hernandez, Carmen Hernandez, Antonio Rivera and Juanita Pineiro. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who loved her, including her brothers Amado Rivera of Florida, Fr. Andres Rivera of Puerto Rico and her twin sister Maria Teresa Rivera of Puerto Rico.
Ana was a dedicated ministry worker for many years prior to retiring from North Shore Child Care in 2000. She was a faithful parishioner of Jesus the Worker Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Proud of her two police officer sons, Ana was a member and supporter of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 inside the Chapel of Light at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Viewing will be from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service celebrated by Fr. Jose Del Olmo at 2:00 pm and burial immediately after.
