Ana Elba Rodriguez's Obituary
Ana Elba Rodrigues passed away suddenly on Monday, December 14, 2015 following some recent health challenges. She was 86 years old.Kind heart, gentle soul, and brave woman.Ana was born in Baracoa, Cuba on December 24, 1928 to Luis and Maria Hernandez. She left Cuba in 1950 to follow her heart and marry her true love, Felix D. Rodriguez, who settled in Jacksonville after serving in the merchant marines. They moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 1968, where they raised three sons. Felix and Ana shared a loving marriage for 48 years until Felix passed in 1998; Ana continued to provide love and support to her family until her passing on December 14, 2015. She was full of life and laughter. She gave love to all she met. We are blessed to have had her in our lives. We will never forget her loving heart, warm hugs, or beautiful presence. She is survived by her brothers Luisin, Hernan, and Edgar Hernandez; sister Marilla Hernandez; sons Felix Jr., Richard and Alan Rodriguez; grandchildren Kaui Rodriguez, Nalani Yaeger, Ryan Rodriguez, Kaeli Cathcart, Monica, and Gabriel Rodriguez; great-grandchildren Owen, Jacob and Annabelle Rodriguez.A Memorial Service for Ana will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service for Visitation beginning at Noon.
