Andrew L. Chandler's Obituary
Andrew L. Chandler, 93, of Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was born December 21, 1920 in Marietta, GA and moved to Fort Myers in 1922. He retired in 1964 from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 21 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, member and Past Worshipful Master of Tropical Lodge, #56, F & A.M.; a 33rd. Degree Mason and member of Scottish Rite and a member and past Worthy Patron of Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Chandler leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 71 years, Bettye Chandler; his children: Barbara Barton of Naples, Jean Hengge and husband, Bruce of North Fort Myers and Glenn Chandler of Gloucester, VA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second Street, Fort Myers with interment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
