Angelo Vasiloff Peters' Obituary
Angelo V. Peters of North Fort Myers died on March 23, 2022, at the age of 91. Angelo was born on June 28, 1930, in Fort Myers to Bulgarian immigrant parents, William and Annie Peters. He was raised in East Fort Myers on Williams Street and he grew up helping his Dad in the family restaurant business. He was a proud graduate of Fort Myers High School, class of 1948. In 1952, he traveled to Wauchula with his best friend, Harold Miller. There he met Charlotte Stephens whom he married in 1954. Angelo was a true artist and he used that talent while working with Britt Signs and Carter Signs. He retired in 1996 and began working in his yard with all his fruit trees and plants. He especially loved growing mangos and sharing them with his family and friends.
Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Willie Peters and Pete Peters, his sisters Lucille McInnis and Panka Herring and his niece Dafinka Baker. He leaves behind Charlotte, his Sweetheart of almost 68 years, his daughter Lee Anne Carter and her husband Ken, and his son Kevin Peters and his wife Renee. He had three grandchildren, Lacey Williams, Evan Peters and Patrick Williams. He had 2 great grandsons. He leaves several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a close relative and friend, Jon Dale Miller, who helped love and take care of him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28 at 12:00 pm at North Fort Myers First Baptist Church at 75 Evergreen Road, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903, (239) 995-2150. Visitation will be held an hour before the service also inside the church sanctuary. Burial services will be held the following day, Tuesday, March 29 at 12:00 pm at New Zion Baptist Church in Ona, Florida. The address for New Zion Baptist Church is 202 Sidney Roberts Road, Ona. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
