I spent a lot of summers in Maggie Valley NC with my grandparents. I can't say a lot about grandma because I was usually helping grandpa in the basement or outside. I do know she was a very caring woman, since she would have to be to put up with my grandfather. All we needed was a Dr Pepper and a cane to make due. I only wish that I had been there more often. I will miss her and I hope that anyone reading this had a chance to let this sweet woman let her touch them as she has always touched me.
Thank you so much. She was always very cheerful and the limit to the people she touched is endless.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Anita's family. She loved each one of you so much. Our memories of Anita, with her happy smile and caring ways, are of her gracious hosting of the two of us at their home in Ft. Myers. She and John happily welcomed us and allowed us moor our boat at their dock. They made their home available to us for perhaps six weeks or more, always making us feel so welcome. Anita was a gracious hostess and her dinners were always delicious. She made it all seems so effortless. Tho we are on the other side of the country we have kept in touch by phone and she always remembered our birthdays. Anita was an dear friend with her ready smile that reflected her happy disposition. She touched many with her cheerful ways. We will miss her but know she is now with John. We send our love to all the family. Stanly and Ruth Donogh
