Ann E. Izzo's Obituary
Ann E. Izzo, 85, a resident of Fort Myers, Florida since 2005, formerly of Pennsylvania passed away peacefully under the care of Avow Hospice on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. She was born November 21, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to the late, Edwin and Pearl (nee Mack) Marshall.
Ann was a Christian who loved the Lord dearly and was active in church activities in her community until she became sick. She loved to garden and spent many years making a beautiful garden at her home in Pennsylvania. When she moved to Florida, she loved to take rides in the convertible with her husband, John, collecting shells. She loved her family and was a great mom to Brian and Mark. She spent a lot of time with her only granddaughter, Stephanie, traveling until Stephanie sadly passed away in 2017. Ann loved cats and had two very special cats, Princess and Jasmine. She also loved birdwatching after her retirement from Penwalt. She loved traveling with her husband, especially the trip they took to Jerusalem. She was preceded in death by her adored granddaughter, Stephanie Izzo in 2017 and her two sisters-in-law, Arlene Cassel and Anita Nyari.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 56 ½ years, John V. Izzo of Fort Myers, FL; two sons, Mark Izzo (Darlene) of Naples, FL and Brian Izzo (Jacklyn) of Southampton, PA; one brother, Charles Marshall (Gaye) of Paoli, PA; one sister-in-law, Jessica Longo of King of Prussia, PA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Friday, June 2, 2023 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Eagles Nest Church, 6920 Immokalee Road, Naples, FL 34119 or to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 in loving memory of Ann E. Izzo.
