Ann T. Pavese Palmer's Obituary
Ann T. Pavese Palmer entered into Eternal Rest peacefully at her home in Fort Myers, FL on February 8, 2021. Born in Fort Myers on March 3, 1930, Ann was the beloved daughter of Rocco Pavese of Lorenzana, Italy and Antoinette Amari of Queens, New York who became early pioneers of Fort Myers. She was a loving sister to Lucy Lasek, Marie DeCristoforo, Rose Pacelli and Amelia Castenier.
Ann was the devoted and cherished wife of William Edward Palmer, who preceded her in death in January 2001. Ann will forever be remembered as a devout, faith-filled and unconditionally loving mother by her children Stephanie Elliott, Steve (Carmen) Palmer, David (Tracy) Palmer, Jeffrey (Danielle) Palmer and Sheri (Paul) Montgomery all of Fort Myers. Her daughter Tina preceded her in death in March 2020.
Her 17 grandchildren Walter (Nicole) Drawdy, Anthony Drawdy, Jessica Drawdy, Brittany (Jay) Prevatt, Stephanie (Nathan) Brewer, Steven (Heather) Palmer, Jeremy Palmer, Tim (Rachel) Palmer, Megan Palmer, Lauren Palmer, Jenna Palmer, Brooke Palmer, Chansi Jean, Audra Montgomery, Blake (Jenna) Montgomery, Austin (Jenna) Montgomery, and Grant Montgomery as well as her 17 great grandchildren Sophee, Chariana, Chloe, Jimmy, Kelsey, Caleb, Kaedyn, Kaitlin, Liam, Georgia, Kane, Korbin, Channing, Kennedy, Kellan, Jay and Theodore
will forever hold in their hearts the lessons taught and lesson lived by their grandmother.
As a young girl, Ann attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and Fort Myers High School graduating in 1948. She was on the Fort Myers High swim team, was the 1946 Pan American Ball Queen, and rode on several floats in the early years of the Edison Pageant of Light Parade. Ann worked at the Edison Cafeteria/Lamplighter Restaurant downtown Fort Myers in the 1950’s, and was the owner of Jean Jo Lee Children’s Clothing Store for 15 years.
Faith, family and friends meant everything to Ann and she touched the lives of all who knew her. In her eyes there were no strangers – only friends she hadn’t met.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Fort Myers. Burial will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice (www.hopehospice.org) or St. John XXIII Catholic Church.
