Anne Roy Pavese's Obituary
Anne Roy Pavese, 80, passed away at her Fort Myers home, surrounded by loving family, on January 17, 2018, following a brief illness.Born July 7, 1937 in Avon, Connecticut, the eldest daughter of the late George and Cecelia (Wollschleager) Roy, she was a 1957 graduate of Canton (CT) High School. She worked for 29 years at Connecticut Mutual Insurance Co., transferring from the company’s Hartford headquarters to Encino, California, and, later, to offices in Tampa. Upon retirement, Mrs. Pavese began a second career in the Lee County Clerk’s office, where she served for 18 years. Most recently, she worked part-time at the law offices of Coleman & Coleman.She was happily married to Joseph William Pavese, Jr. for 46 years, until his passing in 2015.Known fondly as “Miss Anne” even long after marriage, she was a welcome and welcoming presence to family, friends, and co-workers. A master organizer, she took care of all around her and had a gift for marking every celebration with just the right card, gift or decoration. Her gifts and greetings often included images of angels, which now serve as a fitting reminder of her kind and generous spirit.She is survived by sisters Patricia Booth, Jackie Vincenzo and “sister-cousin” Joan Roncaioli; “cousin-son” Raymond F. Hurley (Candy); goddaughter and niece Anne-Marie Regish (Jim); nieces Merren Booth (Andrew Meserole) and Holly Daddazio; nephews John Robert Vincenzo (Sarah), Henry Booth III (Cara), and Fredrick Stuehmer; many grand-nieces and nephews; the entire Pavese family; close friend Lee County Judge Maria E. Gonzalez; the Coleman & Coleman family; and her Cleburne Drive neighbors.Calling hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 22 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Dr., Fort Myers, with burial to follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Anne’s memory to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers FL 33908 (www.HopeHospice.org).
