Annette Parascando's Obituary
Annette Parascando, 70, who was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Joseph and Josephine Colasurdo, on August 8, 1951, has passed away on August 31st, 2021. She had been a resident of the state of Florida since 1988, where she had happily resided in Estero for the past 17 years.
Annette was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was always her number one priority. Her six grandchildren brought the most joy to her life. She loved them fiercely and with all her heart. She loved getting together with friends to enjoy a good game of Mah-jongg, poker, canasta, or bocce, but her purest joy came from spending quality time with her family. Her love of the Wizard of Oz started at a young age and continued on into her adult life. She was able to fulfill a dream and portray Dorothy Gale on stage, where she sang her favorite song, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Annette loved to sing and perform. Her very last performance was a karaoke duet, alongside her husband, at a recent birthday party.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Salvatore; their children Sal Parascando, Jr. (Christine)of Henderson, NV, Joseph Parascando (Kristie) of Tamarac, FL, and Toni Ann Maldonado (Fernando) of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren Alicia, Alexia, Joey, Nicholas, Amber and Vinny; and her sister Marie Fischetti. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Colasurdo; and her sister Carol Ann Minuto, who we pray she was reunited with on the day God took her home.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens funeral home.
