Anthony Marc Masse's Obituary
On Monday, July 13, 2026, Anthony Marc Masse, age 93, entered fully into the presence of the Lord in his heavenly home with his daughter by his side. Anthony was born in Butler Pennsylvania and had resided in Florida for the last 13 years. He was greeted in heaven by his wife, Donna (Ross) Masse, his father, James Masse, his mother, Stella (Morello) Masse and his siblings Woodrow Masse and Dorris (Masse) Bower.
Anthony was a devoted husband of the late Donna (Ross) Masse for 59 years. He was the loving father of Donnice (Masse) Weaver and son in law Evan Weaver; he was a proud grandfather of Anthony Lee (Diana), Matthew Vincent (Jenna), and Ashlee Rose (Ethan) and a blessed great grandfather of Natalee Rose and Alexander Lee Weaver. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Julie (Dennis) Lamb and brother-in-law, James Rossi and several nieces and nephews.
He attended Miami University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in History in 1955. He then enlisted as an officer into the United States army and served for 25 years and retired as a Lt Colonel. During that time, he also attended Duquesne University and obtained a Master of Education where he taught special education in the Pittsburgh public school system for 25 years.
Due to his dedication to our country and his love for history, he wrote and published two political books.
Anthony loved the Lord first and foremost; his faith was unwavering. His Christian faith was an essential part of the way he lived his life and was evident by all that knew him. He attended mass daily and was active in the Knights of Columbus. While he will be missed by many, we are thankful that he is finally at peace in the arms of our Lord.
A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors will be celebrated and live streamed for Anthony on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL 34108. A luncheon at Carrabba’s, 27220 Bay Landing Dr, Bonita Springs, Fl to follow.
