Anthony S.?á Mechachonis (86) of Vero Beach Florida passed on August 6, 2010.?á He was born and raised in Windsor, Connecticut serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII.?á He is predeceased by his wife Aldona Mechachonis and son, Peter J. Mechachonis.?á He is survived by his daughters: ?áAldona ?áMellen of North Fort Myers, Florida and Ann Williams of Collinsville, Connecticut, his son, Anthony Mechachonis of Melbourne, Florida; seven grandchildren: Caroline, Jill, Katherine, Doug,?á Joe, Ben and Abby and three great grandchildren. He and his wife, Aldona retired to North FT Myers in 1978 where he worked Part Time at the Shell Factory for many years,?á moving to Vero Beach in 2004.?á?á?á Funeral services will be conducted at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL on Monday, August 9, 2010.?á Calling hours will be from 12:00 ?Çô1:00 pm followed by a private family service.
