Anthony Louis Salafia's Obituary
Anthony Louis Salafia, Jr., 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Vernon, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 18, 1946, he was the beloved son of the late Anthony Louis Salafia, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hanson) Salafia.
Anthony proudly served his community as a firefighter for the City of Manchester, CT, before retiring and continuing his passion for boating through his business, Salafia Marine Canvas. A skilled craftsman, he enjoyed building dune buggies and sand rails in his spare time.
In October of 1999, Anthony and his wife Karen (Jensen) Salafia relocated to Fort Myers, where they became active parishioners of St. Katharine Drexel Church. Their 40-year marriage was a testament to love, partnership, and family.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife Karen; his children Amy Little and husband John of Manchester, CT; Anthony Salafia III and wife Heather of South Windsor, CT; Bryan LeDoux and wife Jess of Manchester, CT; and Cheryl LeDoux of Fort Myers, FL. He also leaves behind his siblings Mark Salafia of Manchester, CT, and Betsy Salafia of Kentucky.
He was a proud grandfather to Johnathan LeDoux, Anthony Salafia IV, Nicholas Salafia, Dylan Little, Samantha Little, and Hunter Neubert, and a cherished great-grandfather to Adley Little.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Military Honors will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, honoring Anthony’s memory and supporting a cause close to the family’s heart.
