Anthony C. Stuart, Esq.'s Obituary
Ft. Myers – Anthony Charles Stuart, 87, a Fort Myers resident since 2014, formerly of Venice, FL beloved husband of the late Anne Stuart, joined his sweetheart in heaven on Valentine’s Day. He was born March 10, 1931 in Newport, Wales to the late Leslie and Ellen (Purnell) Stuart. He was raised in Newport, joined the Merchant Marines and then immigrated to the United States. Anthony proudly served his country in the army during the Korean War. Afterwards, he worked for the Royal Globe Insurance Company. Anthony graduated from Seton Hall University, B.A. and Seton Hall University, J.D. While living in Venice, Anthony was an active member of the Saint Andrew’s Society and of the choir. After moving to Fort Myers, he became a parishioner of St. Francis Catholic Church. He enjoyed working hard, cooking and socializing with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Catherine (Talty) Stuart and survived by four children, Elizabeth Holmes (James) of Bricktown, Anthony Stuart, Jr (Sharman) of Hanford, CA, Ellen Clyatt (Steve) of Fort Myers, FL, and David Stuart of West Palm Beach, FL; eleven grandchildren; as well as ten great grandchildren. A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 2057 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL. Entombment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice (www.hopehospice.org)
