Where to begin? Arlene was part of the family, marrying my husband George’s first cousin Jim. We would see them both over the years at many family functions and reunions, but we’re fortunate enough to move to Pelican ourselves and become closer over the last 12 years. Arlene was an angel with a devilish side. We loved being in her company because she would always “tell it like it is”. Her laughter and expressions would light up a room. I will miss her dearly. Arlene and Jim have been a part of our Florida Family since we all became neighbors in Pelican Preserve. We have shared so many beautiful times traveling to Cape Cod, Canada, Adirondacks, weekly dinners, so much love and laughs.

I have known Arlene and Jim for 12 years. We bought our place at Pelican the same year. Arlene was funny, kind hearted and generous. I didn’t get to see her last year when Quentin and I were in Pelican but she and Quentin had to be very careful due to Covid. I will always remember her hugs and laugh. Ardith

I didn’t know Arlene however I know her daughter Robin well and recently met her granddaughter Sydney, she must have been a wonderful Mom to create such a legacy.

A Railroad resident that lived near the tracks as Samsondale ave. passed over the Rr tracks into Railroad ave.She enjoyed with her sister Sandra hearing the sound at 10:00 PM each nite of the freight trains passing thru this quiet peaceful village ; except for Benson St. ?? Her beauty, love of life ,family , and James , exceptional intellect and her quick wit will always be remembered in the annals of Haverstrawisms ! Common sense, problem solver and all-around(Get it done)was. Arlene" forte ! Bar none ,totally ahead of her class.
Missing her dearly , is not saying enough - The Good Lord , will take her with Open arms and embrace what we will now miss!
