Hi Patty. Larry Sewell from Vancouver. I decided to google Art's name and was very saddened to see of his passing. Art was like a 2nd father to me when I was living down your way. I enjoyed coming back to Cape Coral to visit him again. My sincere condolences to you and the rest of your family.

I grew up a few houses down the lake from Art. My brothers and I, and several neighbor boys were always welcome at the Godar house. Great parties, fireworks and neighborhood kindness to kids. This is one of the memories I think of when reminded of my childhood. Now I live in the Twin Cities and can only hope to emulate this great neighbor when my time arrives. God Bless.

My Uncle Art will Always be my "egyptian kind". All of us Thank Him for his Service to this Country and for Loving and taing care of you…and you, him. I stayed at the Malaga for the first time in the early 1980s while seeking a job at the new Fort Myers airport. Art said "lots of luck" and showed me a newspaper story about a huge sinkhole opening up on a runway which caused a delay in the opening. He made lots of wry comments about how things were done in Florida. I stayed for several weeks and Art told me where to go for cocktail hour for free eats (Brown Derby) was one. He took me for a boat ride and did the same on other trips to the Malaga with my wife and brother. Art was a great host and I wish I could have spent more time there. Five yrs ago we stayed at the Malaga;not the same. We called Art and had a short chat. God love you Art.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY For uncle Art, ever day was a birthday – every time I here happy birthday, I always think of him.
