Arthur C. Miller's Obituary
Arthur C. Miller, MD, March 12, 2024 99, a loving husband of the late Joan for 70 years. Loving father of Arthur (Penny), Christopher (Miryam), and the late Douglas and Norman. Grandfather of nine, great granddad of 12 and 1 great great granddaughter. Born to the late Evelyn and Arthur Miller.
Dr. Miller enlisted in the Army Air Corp was a pilot in WW2. After the war dad went to medical school (class of 1952 at Wayne State University Detroit, Mi) where he met the love of his life, Joan McLeod. They married and had 4 boys.
Dad’s specialty was anesthesia he worked many long hours for 30 years at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Mi. But found time, for family and friends. He had a love for the water he was into motorboats and then sailing. My parents loved to travel the world with their friends. When Dad retired, he got into bread baking. Bringing bread to a meal was his specialty.
After a brief illness, dad passed on.
There will be a Funeral Mass and Memorial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4580 N. Adams Road, Troy, MI in April. He will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Cemetery with his beloved, Joan.
