Arthur Raymond Shiner Sr.Arthur R Shiner Sr. 68, a Cape Coral resident since 2015 passed away on September 19, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born January 14, 1950 in Wilkes Barre, PA. He was preceded in death by his Father Arthur G. Shiner and Janet (Petkosek) Shiner, his wife of 28 years.Formerly of Painesville, Ohio, he was a member of St Marys’ Church, a Scoutmaster, Sports coach, member of the Knights of Columbus and many other activities with his sons. Art was a Graduate of Mentor High School and in August attended his 50th Class of 1968 Reunion.Art retired in 2015 from Yardmaster after 22 years of service.He served his country in the U.S.Army during the Viet Nam War. He will be buried with full military honors.He is survived by his 2 sons Arthur (Loretta) Shiner of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio and Andrew J. Shiner of Painesville, Ohio, His Mother Irene Shiner of Cape Coral, FL, and by 5 siblings. Robert (Patricia) Shiner of The Villages, FL, Helen (Lee) Shiner-Eitutis of Cape Coral, FL, Edwin (Roxanne) Shiner of Mentor, Ohio, Robin (Tom) Alborn of Cape Coral, FL, KallyShiner-Nunes of Cape Coral, FL, many nieces,nephews and cousins.He will be missed by Family and Friends.Graveside services and internment will be October 4 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens, Ft Myers, FL.A Celebration of life service will be held in Ohio on October 13, 2018 for Family and Friends also.
