Austin Lee Yeomans, 27, a lifelong Ft. Myers resident passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was born on January 28, 1991 in Ft. Myers, FL to Gary and Mica Yeomans.Austin attended South Ft. Myers High School and was a dedicated employee of Barnes Pools. He loved spending time with his niece and nephew as often as he could. Austin enjoyed dirt biking and playing paintball in his free time. His true passion was fishing, especially for big Snook. Whenever you had a chance to see Austin, you were always greeted with a big smile and sparkling blue eyes. He was kind-hearted, loved his family and never met a stranger. Anyone who spoke of Austin would always say he was a respectful young man.Austin is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Mica Yeomans of Ft. Myers, FL; his brother & sister-in-law, Justin and Melissa Yeomans; his niece & nephew, Kylie and Gavin Yeomans; girlfriend, Megan Peavy, all of Ft. Myers, FL; maternal grandparents, Jerome and Etta Rue Kline of Senoia, GA; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Antoinette Yeomans of Ft. Myers, FL; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his Uncle, Eugene Yeomans and his cousin, Matthew Garrity.Austin had the fortune of spending what would be his last day doing what he loved; fishing. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.A visitation will be held from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the funeral home.“In honor of Austin, the family would like to encourage all who attend to wear a fishing shirt to the service.”
