Barbara Baklarz's Obituary
Barbara Baklarz, age 72, of Estero, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and friends. A cherished sister, aunt, and friend, Barbara's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on September 25, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Jean (Tolan) Baklarz. She was a proud alumna of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her bachelor's, master's, and Doctorate degrees. Her passion for education led her to a fulfilling career as a vocational education teacher, after which she transitioned into human resources, working with esteemed companies such as US Steel, Thomas Steel, and ultimately retiring from Caterpillar Company.
Barbara's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She found joy in baking, often sharing her delicious creations with family and friends. Her love for shopping was matched only by her enthusiasm for swimming, where she found peace and relaxation.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, Michael (Susan) Baklarz of Estero, FL, and Keith Baklarz of Monroeville, PA. She was a proud aunt to her niece, Alexandria (Jaret) Spayd, and her nephew, Krystopher Baklarz, and a loving great-aunt to Zatanna Spayd. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In honoring Barbara's wishes, funeral services will be private. Her family invites those who knew and loved her to remember her spirit and the joy she brought into their lives.
