Barbara Jean Hartman's Obituary
Barbara Jean Hartman, 73, a longtime resident of Florida since 1968 passed away peacefully Sunday, January 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 1, 1947 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Ross and Elizabeth Bright.
Barb was a graduate of Brilliant High School in 1965. She graduated from The Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1968 which led to her 46 year career in nursing. Shortly after nursing school Barb moved to Florida where she met and married the love of her life, Roger Hartman in 1973. Barb had a love for swimming, arcade games and going to the beach but there was nothing she loved more than her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roger on January 8, 2020.
She is survived by her two loving sons, Gregory Hartman and Kevin “Brad” Hartman; one sister, Patty; one brother, Ross Bright and his wife, Kathy; her beloved grand dog, Otis; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Her family sends the deepest gratitude to her healthcare providers: Advocate Radiation Oncology, Florida Cancer Specialists and caregiver Maria.
No formal services are scheduled.
