Barbara I. Josephsen's Obituary
Barbara I Josephsen, 82, a Sanibel and Ft. Myers resident since 1999, formerly of New Jersey passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 with her loving children by her side. She was born November 28, 1941 New York, NY to Richard and Irene Goetz.
Barbara was a successful and well respected Insurance business owner in New Jersey. Barbara was a devoted wife to her late husband, Clarence. Together they embarked on many adventures from boating the back bay waters to deep sea fishing miles off the coast, as well as many cruises all around the world. He may have been at the helm, but everyone knew who sailed their ship! Barbara was also a loving mother and friend. She had a wonderful eye for fashion and design, and her excellent cooking skills were generously shared with all who walked through her door. She is survived by her two children, Matthew Murphy (Tina Fiumenero) of Florida, and Barbara Murphy of Pennsylvania; one brother Richard Goetz (Lehn); seven grandchildren, Matthew, Kylie, Peter, Kevin, Lauren, Meaghan and Heather; her great granddaughter, Charlotte; as well as many extended family members and friends.
