Barbara E. Krauss' Obituary
Barbara Ehresman Krauss, 84, of Fort Myers, FL passed away October 10, 2019 after a courageous ten-year battle with Dementia. Barbara was born August 18, 1935 in Philadelphia to William and Ruth Ehresman. She graduated from Abington High School in 1953 and Centenary Junior College in 1955. Barbara married the love of her life, William R Krauss, in February of 1958, who preceded her in death in June of 2019.Barbara devoted her life to her three children. She was an active homeroom mother, PTO president, and favorite mom to neighborhood kids in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. She was the classy, well-presented, glowing personality by her husband’s side at conventions and business trips. Her husband, Bill, always said, “I never would have gotten where I did at the Budd Company without Barbara.”Barbara loved to love people. She made friends everywhere she went. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh with her sarcastic humor. She was a talented golfer and spent many days at Whitford Country Club in Exton PA, and Kelly Greens Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers FL. Barbara also loved to dance, read, shop, and make dinner reservations. Most of all, Barbara loved her family and gathering them together for vacations in Avalon, NJ, where she taught everybody the art of crabbing. Barbara’s generosity and kindness knew no boundaries.Barbara is survived by her three children: daughter, Kathy Krauss Oliveto and her husband, David of Grand Ledge, MI and their children; Brian and his wife, Sydni of Grand Ledge, and Matthew and his wife, Brittany and their daughter Evelyn of Grand Ledge; son, William Jr. of Downingtown, PA and his wife, Catherine and their children; Katie and her husband, Craig Soden of Glenmore, PA and Emily of Downingtown; daughter, Laurie Krauss Kiernan and her husband, Carey of Landenberg, PA and their children; CJ of Landenberg PA and Stevie and her husband Joshua Childs of Newark, DE.Services will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or www.hopehospice.org Online condolences may be offered at: www.fortmyersmemorial.com
