Barbara O'Neill's Obituary
Barbara Kay O?ÇÖNeill (nee Heidemann) of Ft. Myers, Florida died peacefully at Hope Hospice on November 20, after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Barb was born in Clear Lake, SD on March 20, 1952 and although she spent the last twenty-five years in Florida, she remained a small town South Dakota girl at heart. Barbara was a precious and beautiful gift to all who were fortunate enough to meet her. Along with the memory of her blue eyes and beautiful smile, she leaves behind a rare kindness, gentle nature and quiet courage that will guide the lives of, not only her husband, children, and great grandchildren, but all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara O?ÇÖNeill was the loving wife of Michael O?ÇÖNeill of Ft. Myers, the devoted mother of Jon Clausen of Grand Rapids, MI, Sarah Clausen of Denver, CO, Jamie Hinks of Ft. Myers, and Karissa Hinks of Orlando. She was also the adoring grandmother of Justine and Alivia and the faithful sister of Sandy Heidemann of Minneapolis, MN and David Heidemann of Milbank, SD. Funeral services will take place at the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood, SD at 10:00 AM on December 18, 2010. Interment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Brandt, SD. There will also be a memorial service for family and friends in Florida at Saint Columbkill in Fort Myers on her birthday in March, 2011. Local arrangements are being made by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.fortmyersmemorial.com
